Updated pics .....

Jacuzzi season has officially begun for Dan and Nicholas.....

Snack time for the boys..... thanks to Auntie Aimee for giving us Kylie's old highchair so we didn't have to buy another one!

Nicholas has been dying to get a bike.... I think it's actually become his new favorite word! Being the push over I am, I had to do buy him one. Definitely needs a lot more work on the pedaling but he is trying a little!

Nicholas and Jason enjoying a spin in their new wagon they got for Christmas from Uncle Jack, Auntie Cindy, Jackie, Ryan and Bethany........

Toy train...... check....... snack........check.......ipad with Cars movie playing......check

Forget the rice mom.... I just want to eat the highchair!

Jason's 4 month stats....

Well his 4 month appointment actually ended up being closer to his 5 month mark but here are the stats!

weight = 18 lbs, 11.5 oz (89%)
height = 27.25" (93%)

Another big boy on our hands.... although we were always used to Nicholas' weight tracking a bit higher than his height. Looks like Jason may be the opposite!

Imagination Movers

From the day Dan finally started letting Nicholas watch TV on a regular basis, he has always been a fan of Imagination Movers. We have plenty of episodes taped on our DVR and even bought one for the ipad. When I heard they were going on tour, I really wanted to take Nicholas. Dan and I went back and forth on it and we weren't convinced Nicholas would like it enough for the prices being charged for the shows in Boston and Providence. A few weeks back, they aired the Imagination Movers in Concert on the Disney Channel so we taped it. The concert became a daily viewing for Nicholas .... possibly even more popular than the Cars movie for him! We've spent many hours doing the hula and practicing our 'shakable arms', 'wobbly head' and jump moves that they show in the concert.

While watching TV the other night, I heard that the Imagination Movers were coming to the Hanover theater in Worcester. I thought 'that can't be right, I already checked all the concert dates and didn't see Worcester as a stop'. But low and behold when I went online, it had in fact been added. This was on Tuesday and they were coming that Thursday! So lucky I caught it. The tickets were much cheaper than Boston or Providence and I was somehow able to get killer balcony seats.... 3rd row, in the center section, aisle seats. So off we went with the kids!

I of course planned to get a souvenir for Nicholas so we decided on one of the $25 toddler t-shirts. I swear this is how they make all their money! In looking at the stage setup, it was much smaller than what they aired for the Disney concert so I was a bit nervous but it ended up being a great show. The Choo Choo Soul opened for the Movers and they were great too!

Nicholas seemed to enjoy the show. I think he was a bit confused on how these people he sees everyday on TV could possibly be in front of him. But he did enjoy dancing during a couple of the songs and he also got a 'point and wave' from two of the characters when Dan took him over to the $115 seats! Surprisingly he made it thru the entire 90 minute show which we didn't expect! I think his favorite part though was playing with the miniature drum sets they had set up in the lobby for photo opps. Jason in his usual laid back way decided the loud music and lights were boring and fell asleep half way thru the show.

In my opinion this was a great show. I was so impressed by the true talent these people had. You go to so many concerts where the singers sound nothing like they do on the radio because their voices are usually so enhanced. The Movers sounded exactly like they do on TV and all really played the instruments they do from the show. I thought maybe they were just faking it on the show. The two Choo Choo Soul singers sounded great too. I also loved the way the Movers added in a few verses of more adult songs when doing some of their jokes (Panama from Van Halen.... Rock N Roll All Night by Kiss). They sounded great doing those songs too and it certainly kept my attention. I always joke about what kind of people are on a show like Imagination Movers and what they must be like in real life. I assume they are off drinking and smoking... and one of the characters always looks stoned! Ends up they are all fathers from New Orleans..... many lost their houses to Hurricane Katrina... one is even a fire fighter who helped with the search and rescue efforts after the storm. So I guess these guys are the real deal! I am ready to go out and buy the CD :) Seriously, great show and I would definitely go see them again. I know Nicholas and Jason will both enjoy them even more when they get a bit older. But... I must say that the Dave character still always stoned :)

Nicholas getting a better look from the first row of the balcony.... apparently 3 rows back was not good enough :)

The first bite.....

Jason finally tried his first bite of rice cereal the other day and loved it (as proof from his picture). I was holding off because I wanted to talk to the doctor about it before officially starting the cereal but since his 4 month appointment keeps getting pushed off I decided to throw caution to the wind and try it on our own. I'm so crazy with my second child huh :)

Bowling

I'm not sure if all of Nicholas' bowling techniques were legal but after a practice run at home we decided to head to the bowling alley with our Auntie Aimee and cousin Kylie. Nicholas didn't last long and preferred to watch a movie on the itouch but he definitely tried for a while! Kylie was a pro - I think she even beat one of the adults :)
