When he can sleep in a bed like this!!!!!!!!!
As many of you know, Nicholas learned how to climb out of his crib back in May. We promptly changed it over to a toddler bed in which he slept maybe one night before permanently moving over to the futon in his room. We tried to make the toddler bed as enticing as possible with every toy in the world, but still he refused to sleep in it. I personally think he fell out that first night! So the futon became his best friend and he was sleeping great on it at night and for naps. Dan was convinced that it would kill his back though so he devized a plan to get Nicholas into a big boy bed. What could be more appealing to a kid obsessed with cars than a bed shaped like one! So out with the crib that we thought he would sleep on for 3 or 4 years and all the baby decorations and in with a big boy bed and cars themed room. We are happy to say that Nicholas loves his new bed and room. We had no problem getting him in it the first night - although he did stay up extra late playing in it :) But he has not asked for the futon once!! And he's so small compared to the bed that there's still plenty of room for us to lay with him when we want to.
