We have been saying for years that we need to start taking advantage of the library museum passes and just never got around to it. We were originally going to join the Boylston library but their passes were definitely lacking. So instead we joined the library int he next town over. That was free but then we spent $12 to become 'friends of the library' so we could take advantage of their museum passes. Our first use was for the Museum of Science in Boston. The kids were free and Dan and I were $5 a person ..... we saved $32 with our pass! What great savings, especially when everything is still a bit more involved than Nicholas is ready for. We did find a couple of exhibit areas he was interested in so it wasn't a complete bust. And Jason really enjoyed walking around in the stroller and looking at all the planes and such hanging from the ceiling. Here is a picture of Nicholas pushing all the buttons while I listened to the explanation of all the birds behind the glass. He is so into buttons and switches right now!!

Staying busy during this cold winter...
It's been a tough winter with all this snow! Nicholas still begs to go out and shovel every night after work and I've been trying to keep Jason in the house as much as possible with flu season. We have managed to get out to do some fun activities though. Unfortunately trying to juggled two small kids means our pictures are extremely lacking but atleast I can blog about them here to remember them :)
We are going to Beaches Turks & Caicos for our spring vacation this year. For those not familiar with the resort, it is the family version of Sandals. Their main sponsor is Sesame Street so there are characters walking around the property all day. We figured that it would be a love/hate thing for Nicholas... he would either love seeing the cookie monster at breakfast or be absolutely terrified. To test the waters, we decided to go to an Elmo Live show. Nicholas loved it! Although he only lasted thru half the show but luckily Dan got us a great deal on the tickets so we were OK with that. Jason fizzled at about the same time when all the lights became too much stimulation and he was ready for a nap. Here's a picture of Nicholas trying to show me his $15 light up elmo wand. Yes, I am a sucker parent and bought one of the expensive souvenirs but atleast we can bring it on vacation and he can use it at the evening shows there too.
