I can't believe Nicholas is already two! We will start of with his stats of course :)

height = 35.25" (70th percentile)
Nicholas had quite the exciting past couple of weeks celebrating his birthday! We started off his birthday week by making homemade chocolate chip cookies to bring to 'school' on Monday to celebrate his birthday with his friends. I'm sure most of you know that Nicholas is not a fan of many sweets so I wanted to send him in with a birthday treat he could enjoy too - so chocolate chip cookies it was!
Nicholas' birthday was on Tuesday. We started the morning off with Nicholas opening his presents from Jason. He got a Mator matchbox car, Cars PJ's and a recorder which he loved! Dan and I took the morning off so we could have some special time with just Nicholas. So after we dropped Jason off at daycare, the 3 of us headed to Friendly's for breakfast. Nicholas was even able to snag a couple of balloons to bring home even though is was 8:00 in the morning. After breakfast, Dan wanted to bring Nicholas to Purgatory Chasm to climb the rocks. It seemed like a great idea! I remember going there multiple times in high school and Dan and I enjoyed hiking there too. I must say.......... the holes between the rocks look MUCH bigger when you are worried about a 2 year old falling thru! I was a complete wreck the whole time and Nicholas only enjoyed it for about an hour. But it was a fun and free activity to try.
After rock climbing, we headed over to the new playground they built by the chasm and played for a while. Then it was off to school and work. We sent Nicholas in with his favorite snack to share - bags of Cheetos! I'm sure all the parents loved us that week!
After school, we spread out the rest of Nicholas' gifts. He got a train set and electronic drum set from Dan. And I got him a big boy bike. He;s doing great on it but still needs lots of help to not fall on the tight turns.
We waited to celebrate Nicholas' birthday with family until we could double up and celebrate Jason's baptism also. Nicholas had a great family birthday! He got to spend lots of time in the pool with his cousins and Uncle Jimmy even though it was kind of crummy out. Nicholas was in charge of switching between the big pool and 'little' pool (jacuzzi). Auntie Aimee worked her butt off to make Nicholas an amazing cake in the shape of his favorite disney character - Lightning McQueen!
Nicholas LOVES being the center of attention and loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to him!
Of course Nicholas didn't eat any of the cake - but atleast he touched it this year! Big progress from his first birthday :)
Thanks to all for helping us celebrate Nicholas' birthday and all the wonderful gifts! He is truly spoiled and loved by all :)
Love these pictures. Wish we could have been there. Love to all!
